Vintage Underwood Typewriter Shipping Crate 1944. Vintage wood shipping crate for Underwood Typewriter. Per shipping sticker, was to ship Underwood Typewriter model serial number FM-II-5682397. Was shipped from Orlando Army Air Base to Florida Book Company in Gainesville, FL. Date on shipping label reads November 14, 1944. Measures 19.5" W (side to side across front) x 18" L (front to back across top), x 12.5" H. Has some debris inside and "Mickey" written in green crayon across left of lid when opened (both pictured), debris should be able to be cleaned out. Also some imperfections to exterior including large yellow (paint?) streak across back, but overall in good condition. Closing latch has lock attached with no key, latch does not secure closed but could be repaired with repositioning nails or new nails.
